Niagara to Toronto

This is POST # 500!

Wow, who'd have thought I had so much to say...don't answer that! LOL

Anyway, I thought I would share some of what God has laid before us on this vacation to Canada/New England.

Other than pretty exhausted, and occasionally cranky parents and kids, this has been an awe inspiring trip.

The Lord has provided perfect weather and the sites have been stunning. Below are some pictures of what we have encountered thus far.

In Niagara, we got to witness teh Prince of the Air traverse the sky from one building to another about 1/4 mile apart. What a thrill!  That's a completely insane thing to do! My camera only showed a speck in the sky -- thus, the poster from the hotel lobby.

This is the CN Tower in Toronto, touted as "Canada's Wonder of the World" ranking as the 3rd tallest structure ever built. None of us had the nerve to ascend it (probably because we remember the terror of going up to the top of the St. Louis Arch last year!). Pretty cool, nonetheless.

St. Lawrence Market was an experience all its own. It was the first place that we got ripped off in Canada -- $14 for a bag of jelly beans that my kids had mixed and matched. They couldn't be returned and I didn't see a Police Officer until we were leaving. That'll be a story to tell the grandkids!

Parliament building in Otowa. You can see this tower from the Military Museum. The Government Bldgs. were pretty impressive up close.

One of Hitler's Parade Cars -- the museum offered a retrospective of military action throughout Canada
's history.

I was stunned at how easy it was to reach out and pick up one the many tanks -- notice how small the people in Canada are?

Here again, one of the girls just reaches out and grabs an exhibit! Hands off ladies!!! We were just having a little fun!

We had a LONG and spectacular day in Montreal today. It's just too late to get it all down tonight. But, it was a grace filled day all the way around! I'll write more about that tomorrow.
