O Queen of Heaven, Rejoice
The Easter season -- a time of great joy and rejoicing.
May, the month of Mary. A chance to walk with the Blessed Mother on the way to Pentecost.
And presently, I find myself suffering with mysterious physical pain and discomfort, but cherishing the great consolation in offering it up for the many graces that have been received in my life today.
1. Mass & Confession with Fr. Pio Mandato -- a holy and humble man, a merciful confessor, a generous soul. My day could have ended there successfully.
2. A long, faith-filled and fruitful talk with a dear friend before Jesus -- tears and laughter, understanding and empathy. All good; all filled with the presence of God; all mercifully necessary.
3. Lunch with the most wonderful man in the world -- my husband. Time to just be together and talk -- so necessary and recently, so missing. Glad to have taken that time today to be with him.
4. My young man got a job -- the answer to many prayers and the fruit of courage and determination. So proud of him right now!
All this coming on the heels of the healing service our family attended last night. Blessed with St. Padre Pio's glove with words of healing from Fr. Pio, we approached the altar where the Monstrance was draped with a stole, and in our humility and need, touched the tassel on the Lord's robe to be healed.
While my physical pain is a mystery, my soul is rejoicing. And, so with Mary, the Queen of Heaven, I will rejoice this Easter season -- For He whom she did merit to bear, has Risen as He said; Alleluia!
Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia.
For He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia.
Has risen, as he said, alleluia.
Pray for us to God, alleluia.
Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.
Let us pray. O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech Thee, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord.
