Grace was a fighter the whole way through the pregnancy. Every chance she got, she took charge of the situation. For instance, I have never had morning sickness like I had with Grace. She was determined to be the most stable pregnancy I had ever known. Then, she decided that she would like to make an early arrival. We convinced her with some drugs that she should really stay put. That wasn't enough, though. She didn't like my gallbladder -- it gave me fits the entire 9 months; it was removed shortly after she was released from the NICU.
For now, we will revel in the moments that only Grace can provide: beauty salons in her bedroom, dance shows in the basement, writing books and asking to have them published, and never letting her sisters get the better of her. We love her dearly and pray that she will continue to follow God into the future with this same gusto!
Happy Birthday, Grace!
