A Day of Great Graces

Tonight, I am privileged to sponsor a young woman who is receiving her Confirmation, and to be present as another woman is welcomed into full Communion in the Catholic Church. It has been an honor and a grace to teach these lovely women over the course of this summer through RCIA. And, tonight is the culmination of their desire and their witness to Truth and Love.

The Catholic Church teaches so beautifully:
The sacraments of Christian initiation - Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist - lay the foundations of every Christian life. "The sharing in the divine nature given to men through the grace of Christ bears a certain likeness to the origin, development, and nourishing of natural life. The faithful are born anew by Baptism, strengthened by the sacrament of Confirmation, and receive in the Eucharist the food of eternal life. By means of these sacraments of Christian initiation, they thus receive in increasing measure the treasures of the divine life and advance toward the perfection of charity." (CCC, 1212)

There will be an abundance of grace in the Mass welcoming these eager women fully into the practice of the Catholic Faith. Theirs will now be lives lived in receipt of the increasing treasure of the divine life. What a magnificent gift!

May God bless Jolene & Vy!
