From 1-2:30 p.m., the National Catholic Partnership on Disability (NCPD) will host a national training for priests, seminarians, medical personnel and pastoral staff, available free to any parish or parishioner as part of the Archdiocese's Affiliate Membership to NCPD; register at www.ncpd.org The Archdiocese is helping parishes set up online access to this training. Following the NCPD national training, starting at 2:45 p.m., the Archdiocese will hold its own Affirming Life Symposium at CUA, focusing on local efforts and reviewing a Pastoral Care Plan. The Archdiocese’s Affirming Life Initiative is partnering with a local ministry, Isaiah’s Promise, to provide information, resources, training and multicultural outreach. The Symposium will also address the needs of the 90% of families who did not know of these resources and who may now need support.
