small successes # 12

After three years of meeting only once a month because I was still working on my MA, and then picking up the pace to twice a month after I finished, our Bible Study completed an intensive and illuminating study of the Gospel of John. Way To Go, Ladies -- on to the Synoptics in the fall!!

I've entered smoothly into the start of summer swim team.

This is a success because "smoothly" is typically not included in that first sentence. I hope the rest of the season includes that particular word!!! Go Froggers!

I was excited to be asked to join the Gala Committee at Catholic Distance University -- a University dedicated to spreading the Gospel globally via online distance education.

The evening includes an Academic Convocation Mass celebrated by the Apostolic Nuncio to the US, Archbishop Pietro Sambi, at which new graduates will be recognized and receive their diplomas, and then a lovely dinner, program and dancing. This year the venue will again be the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City and the date is set for 20 November starting at 5p. For more information and to join me in a truly amazing evening, contact: Sharon Henry, Event Coordinator --

This is a wonderful event to support a vital need.
Your generosity will help to ensure that CDU can continue to provide solid Catholic education throughout the world.
