A Very SPECIAL Religious Order

Danielle Bean showcases a very special order of nuns in her blog at National Catholic Register. In her piece, she notes that she was touched when she first heard about Little Sisters Disciples of the Lamb, a religious order for women with Down Syndrome. It's a remarkable story, one that speaks to love, self-sacrifice and the dignity of every human person.

This beautiful, touching video is also available at Danielle Bean's blog.

Religious Order for Women with Down Syndrome

Danielle also goes on to recognize the lapse in charity, obedience and wisdom of some religious orders in the US. She points to those who espouse abortion rights, in particular. However, these same orders are often involved in promoting controversial activist ideals, as well as the desire to break through the glass ceiling of the all male priesthood. Of course, the priesthood and abortion are matters of Catholic doctrine that cannot change. Thankfully, this piece is a stalwart reminder that God's holy will prevails in all things.

Have a blessed Feast of the Annunciation of Our Lord! And, remember each and every life is precious.
